Several parties with similar names registered with ECP

Total of 13 Muslim Leagues enlisted for upcoming polls

Following the ouster of PTI from the electoral race, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued symbols to 150 political parties to contest the upcoming general elections scheduled to be held on Feb 8.

As the polls supervisory body issued the lists, it was revealed that 13 political parties have been registered under the head of Muslim League, three for Peoples Party, and two each were enlisted under the name of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam.

The ECP has issued electoral symbols to 150 political parties to contest the upcoming polls.

Apart from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, the parties registered under the Muslim League banner include Pakistan Muslim League-Jinnah, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid, Pakistan Muslim League-Zia, Pakistan Muslim League Council, Pakistan Muslim League Sher-e-Bangal, Pakistan Muslim League-F, Pakistan Muslim League Organisation, Pakistan Markazi Muslim League, Peoples Muslim League and Awami Muslim League-Pakistan.

Similarly, three parties have been registered under the banner of Peoples Party, including Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians, Pakistan People Party-Shaheed Bhutto and Pakistan Peoples Party Workers.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-Nazriati and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians have been enlisted with the election supervisor.

Likewise, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-S have been registered with the ECP.
