Pakistan dispatches fourth batch of relief goods to Gaza

Pakistan dispatched on Saturday the fourth batch of relief supplies to the besieged Palestinian enclave of Gaza via a special Pakistan Air Force flight from Noor Khan Air Base.

The shipment contains about 20 tons of essential items including surgical/medical supplies, dry food items and hygiene kits as per the ground needs in Gaza.

The special flight will land in Jordan, where the Pakistani ambassador will receive the relief supplies, after which the goods will be sent towards their final destination.

Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani, Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan Ahmed Rabi, NDMA, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and senior officers of the armed forces attended the departure ceremony at the Noor Khan Air Base.

The foreign minister expressed full support to the Palestinian people and condemned Israel's use of disproportionate and indiscriminate force against civilians, especially women and children, in Gaza.

FM Jilani also reiterated full support for South Africa's case of genocide of the Palestinian people in the International Court of Justice.

He further called for an immediate ceasefire as well as ensuring the immediate delivery of humanitarian aid to the oppressed people of Gaza

"More humanitarian aid is also being arranged for Gaza, which will be sent by the people of Pakistan very soon," FM Jilani said.

On this occasion, the ambassador of Palestine in Pakistan thanked the government for providing relief supplies.

So far, 220 tons of relief goods have been sent to the people of Gaza, with Pakistan standing firm with their Palestinian brothers and sisters in this hour of difficulty.
