Pakistani star Humayun Saeed has congratulated his The Crown co-star, Elizabeth Debicki, who won Sunday at the prestigious Golden Globes. The British star bagged the award for Best Supporting Actress on Television for Netflix's royal drama.
Many congratulations to Elizabeth on winning the Golden Globes for Best Supporting Actress in TV for The Crown," Saeed, who essayed Debicki's love interest in the fifth season of The Crown, wrote on social media, coupled with the former's picture from the award ceremony. "Truly well-deserved. It was a pleasure working with you. Sending love and best wishes."

Debicki, while accepting her accolade of the night, said, "Thank you so much! Thank you to the creatives of this show for trusting me with this part. To cast and crew, to my beautiful pretend children who I just adore, to my mom and my dad… My partner Kristian said don't thank me so that I'm not on television but I'm gonna thank you anyway. Who else? Goodness, maybe that’s it."
She furthered, "This is just astonishing to me… I just want to say thank you to my beloved and dear Godmother who left us too quickly, too soon. This one is for you, baby.”
Last year, Debicki shared her experience of working with the London Nahi Jaunga star. "I absolutely adored Humayun — he was such a lovely actor and such a beautiful person," she told EW in an exclusive interview. "You never know how that's going to feel when you're playing things like that with an actor. So I was very lucky to have him, and I think he does such a beautiful job."
Saeed joined the ensemble cast as Dr Hasnat Khan, a British-Pakistani heart surgeon with whom Diana had a secret two-year-long relationship — and hence it is presumed that their love affair will have some screen time in the upcoming season.
The 'People's Princess' is said to have described Khan as 'Mr Wonderful' and in May 1996, she visited his family in Lahore too. Diana’s friends are reported to have described Hasnat as the "love of her life" and to have spoken of her distress when he ended their relationship in June 1997. Dr Hasnat attended Diana's funeral ceremony as well.
