Family members sustain burn injuries

OKARA:

A one-year-old girl died when fire broke out in her house in Dipalpur Tehsil of Okara.

It was said that there had been a stove in the bedroom which was fired by the family members to avoid the cold.

However, the fire flamed up and engulfedRead  the furniture in the room and ultimately spread to the whole room.

The family members sustained burn injuries, but the infant’s injuries were much more severe which caused her death.

The area people brought the fire under control on their own. All the furniture in the room was also burnt to ashes.

Man sentenced to death for killing newborn daughter

Police launched an investigation into the incident.

In an extremely sad incident six months ago, 10 members of a family, including four women and children, had died of suffocation after a fire erupted in a three-storey building in Samian Mohallah at Taxali Gate, Walled City of Lahore.

Reportedly, the fire had broken out at around 2 a.m.

The victims were asleep at that time in their three-storey building.

Three families were living in the building.
