Former defence minister and a senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Khawaja Asif on Tuesday repeated his call on all the political forces to sit together and take steps to improve the political situation in the country.
Talking to the media, Asif said that the country was suffering serious damage due to increasing political chaos. “It is time to sit together and take steps to heal the wounds. I have no personal enmity with anyone, but we are political opponents of each other,” he said.
Asif expressed his desire that such a government was formed after the elections, which had national consensus so that wounds could be healed. “I am not talking about a two-thirds majority, but in the general elections, the PML-N will get a clear majority in the National Assembly,” he said.
