Two men were robbed of a motorcycle and a mobile phone in separate incidents in the district, police said. They were searching for the suspects.
Police said that Waseem Akhtar had been on his way towards his destination on his motorcycle with his father-in-law as his pillion when they met with an accident near the Jhaal underpass in the jurisdiction of the Factory Area Police Station.
As Waseem’s father-in-law was being taken to hospital in an ambulance, two strangers approached Waseem and told him that he should accompany his father-in-law in the ambulance while they would follow the ambulance on his motorcycle.

Waseem fell for the trap. The strangers, instead of following the ambulance, disappeared without any trace.
In the other incident, a pedestrian, Shahzaib, had been intercepted in Bhatta Stop in Mansoorabad by two men on a motorcycle who asked him about a certain address.
As Shahzaib started guiding them, they forced him into giving them his mobile and fled.
