Supplementary exam results announced

Almost 19,903 candidates applied for examinations, 19,604 candidates appeared for exams

The Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Thursday announced the results of the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) supplementary examinations 2023.

BISE Chairman Muhammad Adnan Khan and Controller of Examinations Professor Sajid Mehmood Farooqui announced the results at a press conference.

This year, 19,903 candidates applied for the examinations and of them, 19,604 candidates appeared for the exams. Of the students who sat the examinations, 10,323 were female and 9,281 were male.

According to the results, 6,442 candidates passed while 13,118 failed the examinations. This rounds off to a success rate of 32.86%. The success rate of female students was 35.66% while that of male students was 29.75%. Additionally, 222 candidates were absent from the examinations.

A further breakdown shows that 222 students achieved A+ grades, 160 students got A grades, 408 got B grades, 1,867 got C grades, 3,187 got D grades and 580 students got E grades. The exam results have been published on the board’s website and have also been communicated to students through SMS service.
