Sonya Hussyn recently graced Mazaq Raat, where she spoke in detail about falling in love, taking up challenging roles, and overwhelming moments in her life, such as when she gifted her parents a home. The host, Imran Ashraf, questioned the star about her "formula" for success. Sonya jokingly said, "I just sit in the car and go," prompting laughter from Imran and the audience.

She went on to appreciate having the conversation with Imran, stating, "It feels great to talk to an actor who understands this himself. You know how many scripts there are, whatever show is going on all channels, those scripts are at your place. But it's very rare to find a tale that touches your heart. Where, when you read it, you either start crying or laughing, or you feel you're experiencing the romance in the story."

Despite experiencing romance through scripts, the actor admitted that in her personal life, her belief in love remained a little shaken. "Thank God we're actors, because I think love and romance are limited to stories," claimed the star. Upon hearing this, Imran queried, "Is there a dearth of love in the world?" Sonya responded, "I think there is a dearth of professing love. When love is professed, one feels good." The star also claimed to be able to differentiate between real and fake love. "The ones who know how to love can differentiate," she asserted.

Imran also lauded Sonya for gifting her parents a home through sheer dedication and hard work. The thunderous applause from the audience that followed ornamented a smile on Sonya's face. She recalled the overwhelming moment when that transpired, stating that the happiness and memory remain incomparable.

The star also boldly spoke up about human trafficking being a huge issue that is often swept under the rug in our society, linking the dark web's role in facilitating the process. Sonya shared how victims would be hooked onto drugs, with their captors subjecting them to all kinds of mental and physical abuse, eventually situating them in a brothel. "This is the dark side of society about which we do not know. I thought if such a character ever comes my way, I should do it, and convey what is happening to people and how." She then shared that she is doing such a character.

When asked about the idea of hatred, Sonya called the feeling a "phase." She said, "You can take offence to what someone says, but the person who knows how to love, I don't think they've ever learned the expression of hatred." The star also corrected her stance from six years ago, albeit with hesitance, where she claimed it is not possible to love again. She admitted that falling in love again could be a possibility. However, she admitted to being too busy to give much importance to such matters. Furthermore, Sonya doubled down on the fact that the first profession of love remains unmatched. Even so, the star imparted advice, saying, "Life is so beautiful that you must not waste it due to one bad experience."

In addition to this, Sonya also took to her Instagram Story recently to extend her appreciation to Imran and the show's team for their warmth and respect during the shoot. In her heartfelt message, Sonya penned, "It was an absolute honour to be a part of the show. I must say that Mazaq Raat is truly an extraordinary family show. The cast and crew displayed the utmost respect and affection, creating a wonderful atmosphere."

She added, "I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the three living legends, Janaab Honey Albela, Janaab Sakhawat Nawaz, and Janaab Sardar Jamal, for their exceptional sense of humour. Their brilliance added an unparalleled charm to the show and of course, a special shoutout to the main energy, Imran, you have breathed new life into Mazaq Raat. Here's to countless more incredible episodes!"
