Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is so unpopular in Sindh that it cannot find enough candidates for the upcoming general elections, said former CM Murad Ali Shah on Monday.
With no performance to show to the suffrage, PML-N is taking credit for the projects launched and completed by the Pakistan Peoples Party, he said.
Shah responded to Mian Nawaz Sharif's address to PML-N Sindh workers, characterising it as an unsuccessful attempt to boost the morale of PML-N workers and leaders in the province.
Delving into the realm of development initiatives, Murad noted that the Ahsan Iqbal, in a tweet, commended the Sindh government for its efforts in Thar and Sindh projects.
Shah reminded that the discovery of Thar coal dates back to 1991, and it was Benazir Bhutto who initiated project in her second term in the office.

However, when the PML-N government assumed office, it capped the project. He reminded that the 2008 PPP government under Asif Ali Zardari revived the project, which was now generating electricity for the benefit of the entire nation.
Shifting the focus to peace and security, Shah attributed the maintenance of peace in Karachi to the collective efforts of Sindh Police, Rangers, and various law enforcement agencies. He highlighted the collaborative approach between the Sindh government and these agencies, with additional support from the Federation. In response to those who question the absence of motorway development in Sindh compared to other provinces, Murad Ali Shah challenged the federal government's priorities, pointing out that while funds were allocated for motorways elsewhere, Sindh was overlooked. He asserted that, had the PPP been in power at the federal level, a comprehensive network of motorways would have been established in Sindh.
