Zardari asks PPP activists to prepare for polls, adding that party would receive majority of votes

PESHAWAR:

PPP co-chairperson and former president Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday said the doubts that arose over the holding of the next general elections on their scheduled date had been removed by the decision of the Supreme Court.

“CJP [Chief Justice of Pakistan] Qazi Faez Isa is unwavering in his decisions. Nobody should doubt his decision,” he observed during his meeting with Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Haji Ghulam Ali in Peshawar.

The former president further said the next general elections would be held at their appointed time and there should be no ambiguity over that.

He was accompanied by PPP K-P President Mohammad Ali Shah Bacha, party leader Ziaullah Afridi, provincial finance secretary Farzand Ali and Peshawar Mayor Zubair Ali.
