Two ‘robbers’ killed in police ‘encounter’

Two suspected robbers were killed in a police encounter in the Shadbagh area.

Reportedly, four men were robbing citizens near Nadeem Sarwar Ghatti on Ring Road when a police team reached the spot after receiving information about the situation.

An exchange of firing allegedly ensued between the police and robbers.

Two of the suspected robbers were killed in the encounter, while the two others fled from the scene, the police said.

The deceased suspects were identified as Zeeshan and Abid.

The police said they had been involved in a number of robberies.

Police officials said they were investigating the matter.
