JI to ensure women’s rights

JI has been the only party that has already announced its election manifesto

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Women Wing Secretary General Dr Humaira Tariq, said that the the party will ensure, if elected, the right to inheritance, education and justice for women.

Addressing a press conference at party’s headquarter on Thursday, Dr Humaira Tariq said that the women’s rights, enshrined in the Holy Qura’an, are an integral part of the JI’s electoral manifesto.

She said that the party vows to abolish all such rotten laws that create obstacles or hamper the provision of due rights to women in society.

Further talking about the general elections scheduled for February 8, she said that the JI has been the only party that has already announced its election manifesto. She said further said that education is the basic right for women and it is an obligation for the parents and the state to ensure this right for the women in society.
