The Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) has apprehended Muhammad Zafar, a suspect involved in brief kidnapping of a trader during an operation in District Central.

On November 29, Mirza Ehtesham Baig, a coal trader, was abducted at gunpoint from the National Highway within the jurisdiction of the Steel Town police station.
