Baloch Yekjehti Committee has launched long march to provincial capital against killing

QUETTA:

The participants of the long march against the extra-judicial killing of Balach Baloch reached Quetta from Turbat on Tuesday.

A large number of women are also part of the long march who are demanding action against the officials of Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) responsible for the broad daylight murder of the innocent man.

The Baloch Yekjehti Committee had launched a long march from Turbat to the provincial capital against the killing as the family members and the Baloch Yekjehti Committee had accused the CTD of extra-judicial killing.

The charge was vehemently denied by the CTD. A CTD spokesman said Balach Baloch was killed during an armed clash between miscreants and security forces on Pasni Road, Turbat.

“I want justice for my son who was innocent and not involved in terrorism,” Mola Bakhsh, father of the deceased said. The participants of the long march gathered at the Quetta’s Sariab Road to protest in the harsh cold weather.

The protesters were trying to enter Quetta’s Red Zone. However, the baton-wielding policemen pushed them back. Currently, they have been staging a protest demonstration at the Sariab Road.

The Balochistan government has also formed an inquiry committee to probe into the incident.

Noor Ahmed Pirkani, a senior officer of the provincial government is leading the investigation team.

The Balochistan High Court (BHC) has also ordered the suspension of four CTD personnel. A case was also registered against the CTD personnel.

On the other hand, a protest demonstration against the restricted cross border movement was held by thousands of individuals outside the deputy commissioner office in Chaman.

A public meeting of political parties took place, where leaders of the Daily Wagers Ittehad, including President Ghaus Allah, Maulvi Abdul Mannan, Hafiz Muhammad Yousaf, Qari Imdad Allah, Faiz Muhammad, Ataullah, Salahuddin, and Muhammad Sadiq Achakzai, expressed their views.
