Child rape: Man remanded for 14 days

DASKA: A magistrate’s court has remanded a man arrested on charges of raping his daughter for 14 days and sent him to district jail. Tanveer Shah confessed the crime before the magistrate during the hearing on Sunday. According to the FIR lodged by the suspect’s wife Rubina Shah, he had been raping their 13-year-old daughter, Zahira Bibi, for over three years. Shah said she had caught the man allegedly raping their daughter at their house in Aallo Mahaar-Motra village on her return from her parents’ house. She said her daughter later told her that the man had allegedly been raping her for three years.
