Police claimed to have arrested 11 suspected drug dealers, some of whom allegedly sold drugs in educational institutions. Police registered cases and seized eight kilograms of hashish and 365 litres of liquor.

On the orders of SP Jaranwala Abid Hussain Zafar, SHO City Jaranwala Yousuf Shahzad Sapra and his team arrested suspected drug peddler Riyasat Pehalwan in a raid outside Government Degree College Jaranwala on Friday.

He was allegedly selling drugs to students in educational institutions. After recovering three-and-a-half kilograms of hashish from his possession, he was put behind bars.

For an extended period, the arrested suspect allegedly supplied narcotics to educational institutions, which resulted in addiction among pupils. Police added that Riyasat Pehalwan had a prior history of drug dealing.

Meanwhile, Tarkhani police raided a location in 228-Gb and caught Irfan with 1.2 kilogrammes of hashish.
