LAHORE:

Justice Shahid Karim of the Lahore High Court has ordered the quarters concerned to seal all those shops that are selling pets without licences at Tollinton Market.

Justice Karim also directed the authorities to ensure cleanliness of the drain near the market.

Justice Karim was hearing a plea filed by Unaiza Asif who claimed that no proper arrangements had ever been made to clean the market, adding that the market had become a factory of foul smell, making life of the nearby residents miserable. The petitioner said that the illegal business of selling of pets in the market was in full swing.
