Ambassador woos EU investors

EU regulatory framework placed South Asian nation in a position to cater to the needs of the European market.

KARACHI:

Ambassador of Pakistan to the European Union, Belgium and Luxembourg Amna Baloch has described Pakistan as a unique investment destination, citing its business-friendly environment, attractive investment opportunities and availability of a large workforce.

Speaking at a webinar themed “Trade and Investment Opportunities in Pakistan,” she highlighted the government’s support for business entities investing in Pakistan, which played an important role in attracting investors.

The ambassador said that Pakistan was a reliable partner, adding that the EU regulatory framework placed the South Asian nation in a position to cater to the needs of the European market.

Trade and Investment Attache Muhammed Bilal Khan shared that Belgium was the sixth largest trading partner of Pakistan in the EU. However, there was an immense opportunity to diversify trade.
