At least 15 injured in traffic mishap

Sources says tyre of vehicle burst, after which its driver lost control

RAWALPINDI:

At least 15 people sustained injuries in a traffic accident near the Gul Peera area on GT Road within the limits of Mandra police station, Rawalpindi.

Upon receiving intimation, police and rescue personnel rushed to the scene and transported the injured to the hospital after providing them with first aid.

Sources said, the tyre of a vehicle travelling from Gujar Khan to Rawalpindi burst after which its driver lost control of the vehicle in the middle of the road. As a result, it moved to the other side of the road by jumping the divider, colliding with a passenger van.
