Dera Ghazi Khan police arrested an alleged bandit after he had been injured in an “encounter” with a police team in Shah Sadar Deen area on Tuesday, police said.
Police said that a police team had spotted three “dubious” persons riding a motorcycle at Mauza Bhanjar Jalal and started chasing them.

The suspects, however, opened fire on the police team compelling the police to return the fire in self-defence, the SHO of Shah Sadar Deen, Irfan Mustafa, said. Police found one of the accused in an injured condition after the firing stopped.
