Mayor urges global collaboration for climate change
Mayor Murtaza Wahab has emphasised the imperative for global cooperation to support nations impacted by climate change during his address at the Pavilion Mayors Conference held in Dubai, said a statement issued on Monday.
Highlighting the commitment of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Wahab mentioned the reconstruction initiative for 2.1 million houses damaged in the 2022 floods in Sindh province, aligned with the party chairman Bilawal Bhutto's vision.
The conference in Dubai provided a vital platform for mayors worldwide to exchange experiences and propose strategies to combat climate change. Participating in this significant event, the mayor shed light on the challenges faced by Sindh, particularly Karachi, and outlined measures to enhance infrastructure, road networks, and economic activities in industrial zones.
