Governor Punjab lays foundation stone of digital hub to promote media education at Mattital Campus

The Governor of Punjab, Balighur Rehman, on Monday underscored the pivotal significance of quality education as an indispensable catalyst for empowering women.

He said this while addressing the 6th Convocation of the Women University Multan. The governor urged the graduating students to serve humanity and maintain high character as it guaranteed a successful future.

The governor conferred degrees on 1,663 students, including 55 gold medalists and 26 PhD scholars. Meanwhile, Balighur Rehman laid the foundation stone of the digital hub to promote media education at the Mattital Campus of the Women University Multan.

The digital hub is part of the strength of the women’s university project. Different initiatives were being taken under the strength of women’s university project which would be completed at a cost of Rs1.5 billion, said the Vice Chancellor of the Women University, Dr. Kalsoom Pracha.

The Project Director, Asad Bhatta, said that the digital hub would house a comprehensive mass communication department.
