Facilities at nursing college to be upgraded
After upgrading the Government Nursing College at the Benazir Bhutto General Hospital (BBH), the district health authorities have green-lighted the upgradation of all of its facilities including classrooms, auditorium, and hostel.
According to official sources, the entire cost of upgrading other facilities is estimated at Rs42.1 million. Beginning in the second week of December this year, the project will take three months to complete. Funds have been released for the upgradation of new classrooms, auditorium, hall, and hostel.
Previously on the directions of the caretaker Punjab government, the renovation of BBH’s OPD and psychology department was accelerated with January 31 of the next year being set as the deadline for the completion of the project.

The renovation work of the 116-bed emergency department at BBH has already been completed for Rs55 million.
The upgrade cost of the first floor of the hospital's OPD and the ground floor of the psychology department was estimated to be Rs13.3 million.
BBH MS Dr Tahir Rizvi has said the condition of the first floor and ground floor of the OPD and the psychology department had become dilapidated, due to which, the renovation had become inevitable.
