Minister Ijaz owns assets worth billions of rupees

ECP says IT minister Saif possesses assets worth Rs280m

The Election Commission of Pakistan has released the details of the assets of the caretaker federal ministers Gohar Ejaz and Umar Saif with the former owning assets worth billions of rupees and his minor children Rs1.57 billion while the latter Rs280 million.

In the details submitted to the ECP, the Interim Minister for Commerce, Gohar Ejaz, revealed a share of Rs312,000 in agricultural land. “There is 10-kanal of land in Lahore, the value of which is Rs40.46 million,” the ECP showed. Ejaz showed the total value of 132-kanal of land at Rs20.91 million. The price of eight-kanal area in Lahore was Rs710,000, 16-kanal land in Lahore Rs8.6 million and 1,195 kanal land Rs1.19 billion.

Ejaz owns a share of Rs50,000 in Warsi house located in Chiniot. He has a share of Rs10.57 million in Warsi house in Lahore and owns a house worth Rs790.84 million in Model Town.

He owns a shop worth Rs6.8 million in Karachi, a plot worth Rs140 million in Lahore and 35-kanal land in Lahore has been declared at Rs170.5 million.

There are four properties in the name of his wife.

A house in Model Town in Lahore in the name of his mother has been declared at Rs30 million. She has a share of Rs10.42 million in the inheritance house, 19-kanal land worth Rs10.78 million while the value of the Abbottabad house has been revealed at Rs60.87 million.

Ejaz has a property business worth Rs180.7 million in Pakistan.

He owns shares worth more than Rs1.50 billion in the stock market.

Among the vehicles he owns, BMW is worth Rs10.2 million, Mercedes Rs9.5 million and Land Rover Rs70.10 million.

Ejaz has disclosed jewellery worth Rs40.36 million and possesses Rs30.14 million in cash. He has cash worth Rs10.60 million in banks, owns furniture worth Rs110,000 as well as horses and other goods worth Rs10.32 million.

Ejaz's younger children own more than Rs1.57 billion.

The ECP also revealed the assets of caretaker Minister for Information Technology Umar Saif, who owns assets worth more than Rs280 million.

The value of one-kanal residential plot at DHA, Multan has been declared at Rs6.25 million, the value of a four-marla commercial plot at DHA, Lahore at Rs30.5 million, the value of a commercial building in the Muslim Town area of Lahore Rs7 million and a one-kanal residential plot in the name of his wife at DHA, Lahore was said to be Rs10.43 million.

She owns a four-marla residential plot at DHA, Lahore Phase 9 valued at Rs40.35 million, a four-marla commercial plot at DHA Phase 11 worth Rs20.10 million and two plots of four-marla valued at Rs10.50 million at Naval Anchorage Lahore.

The caretaker IT minister revealed the value of a 10-marla residential plot at LDA City, Lahore in the name of his wife at Rs2.7 million.

His wife owns two residential plots of 10-marla at Naval Anchorage Lahore worth Rs10.19 million and an apartment at Oyster Count Gulberg 3, Lahore worth Rs500 million.

He disclosed the value of foreign business at $11,975, the value of 400,000 shares in TPLP more than Rs40 million and the value of 150,000 shares more than Rs674,000, and the value of share in an IT company more than Rs4.7 million.

He disclosed the value of 110 tola gold at more than Rs4.8 million.

The caretaker IT minister revealed more than Rs1 million in cash.

He revealed Rs50.26 million rupees in a private bank account and more than $20,000 in another account while more than Rs9.7 million is in the account of Saif's wife.
