Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Karachi, in collaboration with intelligence agencies, successfully apprehended two terrorists who had received training in Syria during a joint operation on Sunday, as reported by Express News.
The operation yielded the recovery of two pistols, ammunition, and explosive materials from the possession of the suspects.
According to a CTD spokesperson, the detained suspects were identified as Syed Raza Ahmed Jaffri and Syed Khurram Ali Kazmi. Jaffri had previously served in the police but was dismissed from service in 1994.

The terrorists had allegedly secured significant foreign funding to execute their terrorist activities. The suspects stand accused of carrying out targeted assassinations based on orders received from foreign masterminds.
The targets included prominent figures from different sects and religious scholars. They were also planning to target some foreign nationals.
