Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P), Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA), and Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leaders held a joint press conference after meeting Awami National Party (ANP) leader Shahi Syed at Mardan House.
MQM-P Senior Deputy Convener Syed Mustafa Kamal said that Rs2,200 billion were spent in Sindh for 15 years. Today, from Karachi to Kashmore, cities of dust and mud have been built. Karachi is the fourth worst city and India is going to the moon and Sindh is in such a mess that children fall to death in gutters due to lack of covers on manholes. There is no dog bite vaccine in Sindh. In Sindh, citizens and animals drink from the same ponds.
He said that an impression is being spread that there is no other option but PPP in Sindh. Mustafa Kamal said MQM is an option. MQM is a beacon of hope against the mismanagement of the People's Party
He expressed these views while holding a joint press conference after meeting with ANP leader Shahi Syed, a delegation of MQM Pakistan, GDA, Jamiat Ulem-e-Islam leaders.
He said that when Jam Sadiq Ali and Liaquat Ali Jatoi became Chief Ministers, we all stood with them in one form or another. He said that we will form a coalition government in Sindh. We have learned many things from many experiences. All these parties are united. We want to give a hope to the speakers of all languages in Sindh. The people of Sindh have to be brought out of poverty. We will form the government in Sindh in the upcoming elections. The coming time belongs to the oppressed people of Sindh.
On this occasion, ANP leader Shahi Syed said that our goal is a strong Pakistan and a successful Sindh. As a reaction to the injustices and cruelty in the villages and Sindh in the past, all the parties are present on the same platform.
Shahi Syed said that he wants to abolish the 'system' an unofficial name for a group of powerful politicians and bureaucrats running land grabbing rackets. "We want to see people of Sindh get power through the unity of all parties. We are sitting together to clear doubts and reservation by talking to each other and will continue to be together."
