Man crushed to death by train

Both victims die on spot after an accidental collision

LAHORE:

A 55-year-old man died after being hit by a train in Naseerabad on Friday. The unidentified man was trying to cross a railway track when a speeding train hit him.

The victim died on the spot. In another incident, a 60-year-old man died in a collision between a rickshaw and speedo bus in Green Town.

The victim was riding in a rickshaw when it collided with speedo bus near Bagrian stop. The victim died at the scene.

Meanwhile, city police arrested the district president of a local student organisation who was allegedly involved in heinous crimes from Karachi airport.

Police said the accused was involved in over 17 offences including murder, firing and possession illegal weapons.

DPO Vehari Esa Khan constituted a police team after receiving information that the accused was landing at Karachi airport.
