KARACHI:

Caretaker Sindh Minister for Local Government, Housing, Town Planning and Rehabilitation Muhammad Mubeen Jumani has said that the Lines Area Resettlement Project (LARP) board meeting will be called in the second week of next month and action plan regarding the resettlement of the eviction drive victims will be discussed.

He expressed these views on Thursday during a meeting with Thakur Zulfikar Qaimkhani, nominated public member of LARP Board.

Qaimkhani said that the main purpose of forming the LARP Board was the immediate rehabilitation of the people evicted during the anti encroachment drives in the Lines Area.

However, he said, the resettlement process was extremely slow, Qaimkhani said requesting the minister to visit the area and see the situation by himself.

Jumani said that the real aim of Sindh caretaker government is to provide more and faster facilities to the people.

He said that he will visit the Lines Area soon and the board meeting will also be called in the second week of December.
