After going through the testing phase, Instagram now lets all users download reels from public accounts.

Instagram's CEO Adam Mosseri announced the update on his broadcast channel. According to Mosseri, the downloaded memes will have a watermark of Instagram along with the account's username.

Reels will only come with music if they have original tracks. Instagram will remove their audio if they use licensed music as a background.

The option to download videos is available on TikTok, which makes it easier for users to share their content on multiple platforms. Instagram's latest move is said to be a replication of it.
