LAKKI MARWAT:

A police constable was kidnapped at gunpoint and brutally put to death in the Lakki Marwat district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) on Friday.

Police told The Express Tribune that Constable Farmanullah of the Frontier Reserve Police (FRP) and his friend Amanullah were seized by armed terrorists. Amanullah was later released after enduring severe beatings, while Farmanullah was forcibly taken away on a motorcycle.

Tragically, he was ruthlessly killed, and his lifeless body was callously discarded in a desolate area within the jurisdiction of the Saddar police station.

A police official revealed that Constable Farmanullah, stationed at police lines for night duty, had recently sustained injuries in a firefight with criminals.

The lifeless body was discovered in the mountainous terrain of Wanda Semu.

Following the grim discovery, an FIR was registered, initiating an investigation into the heinous act of terrorism.

The incident unequivocally bears the marks of terrorism, as evidenced by the terrorists’ decision to release Amanullah upon realizing he was not a police employee, stated the official.
