The father of a slain online cabby killed recently in Karachi has filed a petition in the Sindh High Court that ever since the arrest of a suspect, police have been harassing him.
Like in so many other cases in Pakistan, the culprit, being high and mighty, got police protocol, while the complainant was harassed and pressured to withdraw the case.
The Sindh High Court has issued notices to the police and others on a petition filed by murder victim Shazeb Ansari on the complaint of his father Muhammad Riaz Anshari.
Ansari in his petition filed through Advocate GN Qureshi said that police were harassing him; they had taken his son, Adnan, into custody y and also confiscated his licensed pistol and bullets
Advocate GN Qureshi said the court should order the police to stop harassing the petitioner.
The court issued notices to the police and others at the request of Imran Qureshi.
The court sought a reply from SHO Sachal and others on November 21.
