The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to have an open door policy for the national and international poll observers to uphold principles of transparency and impartiality during the upcoming election scheduled to be held on February 8 next year. An important meeting has been called at the polls supervisory body on Friday (today). Sources said the commission will be briefed on the decisions taken after the various meetings of the action committees related to foreign observers.

The ECP members, its secretary and other related officials will participate in the meeting. The foreign and interior ministries officials will also attend the session. Sources noted that the foreign observers will be required to have an accreditation with the ECP. They can submit their application form on the Pakistan Online Portal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for prompt issuance of visa.
