Need for solution-based research highlighted

HEC chairman highlights the need for character-building among students

RAWALPINDI:

Higher Education Commission Chairman Dr Mukhtar Ahmed has emphasised the need for solution-based research in academia. He stressed that although researchers in Pakistan are publishing several papers annually, the country’s indigenous problems remain the same. He also highlighted the need for character-building of students along with their academic and professional training.

Dr Mukhtar expressed these views while addressing the opening ceremony of the Second International Moot of Sciences organised by Rawalpindi Women’s University.The HEC chairman also inaugurated the central laboratory of research at the university. The chief organiser elaborated the purpose of the multi-disciplinary conference.
