The Punjab government has announced scholarships for talented and deserving students.
The Punjab Education Endowment Fund (PEEF) official sources said that candidates who had passed the matriculation and intermediate examination in 2023 with at least 60 percent marks would be eligible to apply for the scholarships.
To avail the scholarships, online application could be submitted to the Punjab Education Endowment Fund. Besides orphaned students could also apply for scholarship. Children of government employees in Grades 1 to 4 with salary below Rs60,000 would also be eligible, they said.
Likewise, students belonging to the minorities were also eligible to apply.
Moreover, the Government of the Punjab had also decided to accommodate the “special students” for these scholarship.
The scholarships would be given to the talented minority students under the Department of Human Rights and Minority Affairs.
Children of civilians martyred in incidents of terrorism would also be eligible only through respective departments.
The application can be submitted online till January 31, 2024.
