Man arrested for killing wife in DHA flat

Abrar had forcibly married Ainee, states victim’s father in FIR

The Sahil police have formally arrested a man detained last night on the charges of killing his wife at an upscale apartment complex in the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) on Monday.

According to police, Quratul Ain alias Ainee, 22, was killed in a mysterious shooting incident at Emaar Tower in DHA Phase 8 on Sunday night. Sahil police have registered a murder case under section 302 on the complaint of her father Zubairuddin Khan.

Khan nominated Ainee's husband, Abrar Bugti, as the culprit on which the police arrested him. Abrar was already in police lock-up since Sunday night.

The father of the deceased woman stated in the FIR that Abrar was pressurising him, for long to give Ainee's hand in marriage. However, Khan said he kept refusing due to ill repute of Abrar.

However, on October 12, Abrar came with police to Khan's house with a forged nikahnama and a court order to handover Ainee to her lawful husband.

Khan said, Ainee called him multiple times from the cell phone of Abrar's house servant and narrated harrowing tales of torture and abuse.

On Sunday night, the security staff of Emaar Tower called and informed that Ainee has been shot. "I along with my son and brother-in-law rushed to the Jinnah Hospital and found that my daughter had died." Per the physical observation, there were two bullet wounds to the head and three on the body.
