One of the two policemen abducted from a picket in Noushehro Feroze district was discovered dead with gunshot wounds on Sunday, while the other officer returned home with a head injury.
DSP Habibur Rehman Lashari disclosed that a gang of dacoits, who had stolen cows from a cattle farm near Mahesar village in Darbelo area, Tharu Shah town, had allegedly kidnapped the officers on Saturday night.
During the incident, the outlaws also seized their firearms. The deceased police constable has been identified as Jabir Rajput, while Sudheer Larik sustained a head injury.

The officers were targeted because they had intercepted the robbers while stealing the cattle, said DSP Lashari. The body of the slain constable was shifted to Rural Health Centre Tharu Shah for post-mortem examination.
Meanwhile, the injured policeman was also transferred to the same medical service. The two officers were stationed at the Kela Mori police picket. Rajput's family has accused SSP Naushehro Feroze Abid Ali Baloch and DSP Tharu Shah of colluding with the gang of robbers.
As of Sunday evening, an FIR for the incident had not been filed, and no suspects had been apprehended by the police.
