In a landmark academic initiative, the Punjab Board of Technical Education (PBTE) has launched the Foundation Diploma of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)—a professional-level qualification designed to bridge global accounting standards with Pakistan’s technical education system.
As part of this initiative, PBTE has appointed Naveed Rafaqat Ahmad to serve as the chief evaluator for candidate research submissions. The Board confirmed that all applicants seeking admission to the Foundation Diploma will first be required to submit a case-specific research thesis. Only those whose work is evaluated and approved by Ahmad will qualify for enrolment.
Recognised for his transformative leadership as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer (Additional Charge) of the Punjab Model Bazaars Management Company (PMBMC), Ahmad has authored and reviewed numerous scholarly and policy-oriented articles in leading journals, and has earned national distinction for his contributions to public-sector innovation.
A spokesperson for PBTE stated: “We will derive immense value from Ahmad’s analytical and professional expertise in assessing the academic and conceptual strength of our applicants. His evaluation will be conclusive and unchallengeable.”
