LHC stops ACE from moving against Fawad
The Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench has stopped the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) from arresting or taking action against former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry while summoning its director general along with the record of a land fraud case on Nov 8.
Fawad’s brother Faisal Chaudhry Advocate approached the Rawalpindi bench and filed a petition, requesting the court to conduct urgent hearing of the case.
The court restrained the ACE from arresting or taking action against Fawad, summoning the anti-corruption’s DG along with the case record on Nov 8.
The Punjab government and the ACE DG had been made respondents in the petition.
