Asiya, a Pakistan-based enterprise specialising in premium hand-made scarves and carpets from Pakistan, India, and Iran, is expanding its presence in China. With nine offline stores already established in major Chinese cities such as Beijing, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Xi'an, Nanjing, and Tianjin, the company is seeing growing popularity.
Yang Han, the sales manager of Asiya, highlighted their effective distribution network, with products arriving in Hangzhou before being distributed to stores in other cities. He emphasised that Asiya’s unique handicrafts have the potential to penetrate smaller markets.
In an interview at the 2023 Beijing International Cultural and Tourism Consumption Expo, Yang stated, “We have many partnerships, and people enjoy using our products. We foresee an increase in the number of our physical stores in China.”
To facilitate their expansion, Asiya has formed a dedicated expo team, actively participating in various exhibitions in China, including the China International Fair For Trade In Service (CIFTIS). Their plan is to further distribute products from Hangzhou to other cities, leveraging their established relationships and increasing their market reach.
The Beijing International Cultural and Tourism Consumption Expo, held from October 20 to 22, featured over 350 institutions and enterprises from 18 countries worldwide, along with 20 provinces in China, covering 20,000 square meters of exhibition space.
