At least 17 people were killed and 1,267 were injured in 1,160 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) reported across all 37 districts of Punjab during the past 24 hours.
Of the injured, 638 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 629 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue Medical Teams. The majority of RTCs, 75 percent, involved motorbikes.
Further analysis showed that 578 drivers, 57 underage drivers, 163 pedestrians and 543 passengers were among the victims of RTCs. The statistics show that 287 RTCs were reported in Lahore with 311 victims, placing the Provincial Capital at top of the list.

Faisalabad followed behind with 90 RTCs and 105 victims and Gujranwala at third with 72 RTCs and 72 victims.
The victims affected by RTCs included 1,006 males and 260 females, while the age group of the victims shows that 260 were under 18 years of age, 588 were between 18 and 40 years old and the remaining 436 victims were reportedly above 40 years of age.
According to the data, 963 motorbikes, 80 rickshaws, 137 cars, 28 vans, nine buses and 33 trucks were involved in the RTCs.
