DI KHAN:

A distressing incident happened in the DI Khan district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) province, where a four-year-old girl was allegedly subjected to sexual assault by her schoolteacher on Saturday.

The local police responded by registering an FIR based on the complaint of her father.

According to the report, the young victim, a grade one student in a private school, had gone to school on Saturday when her teacher reportedly assaulted her.

The traumatized child returned home in tears and confided in her parents about the horrific ordeal. The gravity of the situation led to a prompt medical examination of the child, and the police registered an FIR under relevant sections of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), specifically, Section 376 and 53 CPA.

Regrettably, the accused managed to evade capture, but the authorities initiated a search operation to bring the perpetrator to justice.

Child rights activist Imran Takkar, when contacted for his perspective, emphasized that safeguarding children from such heinous crimes is not only the responsibility of the school administration but also the collective duty of society.
