Armeena disses Shaniera for being at a loss of words for Palestine

Actor maintained that the activist always has a lot to say when it's Pakistan in the picture

Activist Shaniera Akram and actor Armeena Khan recently exchanged a heated debate on Twitter. It all started when Shaniera took to X to share a rather vague statement about feelings of helplessness caused by fear. She held that she couldn’t find the words to articulate her feelings, and apologized if her statement offends anyone.

In response, Armeena called her out for being at a loss of words for Palestine when she’s always been so vocal about Pakistan.

"Helpless. I feel so totally and utterly helpless. I've never been scared of saying what I want or how I feel, but right now I'm very emotional and actually just don't have any words left to give and I am really sorry if that offends anyone,” wrote Shaniera on X.

Quote-sharing her tweet, Armeena wrote, "You have plenty of words to give when it’s Pakistan. Either talk about Palestine openly or keep your dramatics to yourself."

Not holding back, in a now-unavailable tweet, Shaniera hit back, "Seriously? With the state of the world and the pain we are seeing daily, you are still throwing hate at me. For what? You don't know me or what I am dealing with. Whatever we are, we are both mothers, you should be using your voice to promote unity and sisterhood. I think it's about time you grew up. You are really sinking pretty low for headlines now."

Armeena has been vocal in her support for Palestine as Israel continues to bomb Gaza following the October 7 Hamas attack. She has been openly condemning Israel's violations of human rights and war crimes in its offensive against Palestine.

Most recently, Israel struck an ambulance in Gaza City on Friday that health authorities in the Hamas-controlled enclave said was evacuating the wounded from the besieged north to the south of the territory.
