UoH hosts multilingual poetry extravaganza

Diverse tongues converge in poetic harmony as Hazara Division's seasoned poets take center stage

HARIPUR:

In a remarkable display of literary prowess and cultural celebration, the University of Haripur (UoH) recently hosted its first multilingual Mushaira. This poetic event left an indelible mark on its attendees.

Under the leadership of UoH Vice Chancellor Dr Shafiq ur Rahman along with Muhammad Kashif Khan, this cultural symphony unfolded at Iqbal Hall.

Renowned Pashto poet and columnist, Javed Iqbal Afgar and the Central Library of Haripur also played a pivotal role in organising this event.

Diverse tongues converged in the poetic harmonies of Urdu, Pashto, and Hindko, as seasoned poets from the Hazara Division took centre stage.

Legends such as Waheed Qureshi, Zaka Rasheed, Irshad Khan utman Zai, Nazir Kasilvi, Javed Akhtar Aman, Mati ur Rehman Athar Hashmi, Muhammad Zaheer Hasrat Kazmi, Manzoor, Ahmed Hussain Mujahid, Wahid Siraj Mir, Abdul Waheed Bismal, Muhammad Farid, Rehman Sahil, Dr Roshan Kaleem Farooqui, and Professor Shaukat Mahmood Shaukat, alongside esteemed poets from Jund Attock, Abdul Hameed Majroo, and Muhammad Ghafran Kamil, participated in this magical poetic tapestry.
