Pakistan Post offers sites to NADRA to set up more centres

Initiative aims to enhance the efficiency of services and alleviates the issue of long queues of citizens

KARACHI:

The Pakistan Post has offered three more sites to National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) to set up centres at Saddar and Bolton Market post offices for the establishment of additional centres in Karachi.

The initiative aims to enhance the efficiency of services and alleviates the issue of long queues of citizens. Addressing the press at the General  Post  Office  (GPO), Karachi, on I.I. Chundrigar Road, the Post Master General Mustafa Kamal mentioned  that  with  the  support of NADRA, services for the renewal of national identity  cards,  change  of  address  and  marital  status  and other modifications are already  available  at  seven post office centres in the city where  1,250  citizens  have  been benefited within just one month.

He added that NADRA authorities  were  informed  that following the provision of  services  in  post  offices,  additional  counters  could  be set up at the seven main post offices across the city, ensuring  the  convenience  of citizens. Kamal further mentioned that  all  the  seven  post  offices in the city, including Korangi, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Hyderi, Newtown, and Saddar, have dedicated staff providing services from 9am to 4pm.
