Britney to Voldemort: A glimpse at the best star spooks from Halloween 2023
Pakistani actor Alizeh Shah stood out as one of the few local celebs to don a Halloween costume. The actor took to her Instagram to share a series of posts flaunting her blond wig and yellow oversized graphic hoodie featuring Marilyn Monroe that she paired up with white studded fishnets and Barbie pink high-heeled boots. Posing in front of a cyberpunk futuristic backdrop, Alizeh enigmatically wrote in the caption, “Been looking for you.”
Hollywood actors and recently engaged couple Channing Tatum and Zoe Kravitz added a comical twist to their Halloween fit by stepping out as characters from 1986 classic film Rosemary's Baby. Zoe channeled Mia Farrow's protagonist heroine Rosemary Woodhouse with a pixie cut, a long white nightgown, and a knife, while Channing got creative with a blue onesie and a white bonnet to represent Rosemary's Satanic baby, complete with bright red contact lenses.
On the other hand, singer-actor Zayn Malik embodied the true horror spirit of Halloween with a snapshot of himself on Instagram as the iconic Harry Potter character Lord Voldemort. His transformation into the dark wizard, complete with a prosthetic bald head, Voldemort's distinctive snake-like nose, and a black gown, received praise from fans.
Paying a touching tribute to her close friend, Britney Spears, Paris Hilton donned the iconic blue outfit from Britney’s 2004 Toxic music video. Paris shared multiple posts featuring her homage, set to Britney's music, and used the hashtag #IconsOnly in the caption.
Celebrity couple Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly were inspired by Quentin Tarantino's 2003 film Kill Bill: Volume 1. Megan transformed into the schoolgirl assassin Gogo Yubari, complete with a black wig, schoolgirl outfit, and fake wounds to mimic her gruesome demise. Meanwhile, her rapper beau MGK portrayed Uma Thurman's iconic Bride character, sporting the yellow jumpsuit and brandishing a replica Samurai sword.
Kaia Gerber and Austin Butler transported themselves back to the 1960s with Edie Sedgwick and Andy Warhol’s classic appearance at 1965 New York Film Festival. Austin, with his blond Warhol wig, matched sunglasses to a black turtleneck sweater, a black leather jacket, and black pants. Kaia rocked a sleeveless black turtleneck and a pants-less look with black tights and Mary-Jane heels, adding Sedgwick's signature chandelier earrings to complete the ensemble.
Known for her eccentric Halloween looks, Heidi Klum’s elaborate multi-body peacock costume required as many hands as feathers. Heidi had her crew stacked up on top of each other to form a stunning, larger-than-life bird. The centerpiece was the model-TV host herself in a cobalt blue bodysuit, wearing an intricate headpiece with a finely crafted beak.
This year also marked actor Keke Palmer’s first Halloween with 8-month-old son, Leodis "Leo" Andrellton. The Nope star shared photos of their spooky holiday together, dressing her son as scientist Henry Frankenstein and herself as the bride of Frankenstein from the 1935 sci-fi horror film, Bride of Frankenstein.
