India will never remove this ban on Pakistani artists: Falak Shabir rubbishes reports

Punjabi singer was asked to comment on the latest development

In a recent interactive session with fans and followers on his Instagram Stories, singer Falak Shabir addressed the topic of the reported removal of the ban on Pakistani artists working in India. Contrary to the claims of a possible lift on the ban, Falak held that, in his experience, the ban notice he received from T-Series during a visit to Mumbai in 2015 remains in effect.

He emphasized his belief that the ban would not be rescinded. His statement sheds light on an ongoing issue that has loomed over the entertainment industry, as fans and artists alike await any potential changes in the relationship between Pakistani artists and the Indian entertainment sector.

The Punjabi singer responded to a query that stated, "Mumbai High Court has removed the ban on Pakistani artists. What would you like to say about this sir?" Falak held, "Not possible. I got this notice from T-Series when I was in Mumbai in 2015. They will never remove this ban."

The notice/press release by FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees), shared by Falak stated: "We, the mother body FWICE in a joint meeting with all our affiliates have taken a unanimous decision today to ban the Pakistani artists and technicians for working in the films/ tv serials produced by Indian Producers in any language. The above decision has been taken due to the war like situation unleashed by Pakistan due to which we have lost so many soldiers and common men on the streets of India. We stand by our security forces and their families in this hour of crisis and believe in 'Nation comes first'. The ban notice has been sent to all affiliates and Producers' associations."

The ban on Pakistani artists in India dates back to a turbulent period in the bilateral relations between the two countries. The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), in collaboration with its affiliates, took a unanimous decision to impose the ban on Pakistani artists and technicians.
