Terror case registered over deadly attack

Suspects suddenly arrived at the spot, hurled threats and opened fire at the victims

LAHORE:

Chung police registered a case of terrorism, murder, attempt to murder and other offences on Saturday over the overnight deadly attack that had claimed five lives.

The case was registered on the complaint of the wife of one of the victims, Malik Shahzad.

The complainant, Nabeela, stated that her husband, brothers-in-law Ghulam Mustafa, Ghulam Murtaza and Malik Khadim Hussain, nephew Abu Bakar and their employee Fahad were sitting in their outhouse when they came under attack. She and her sisters in law were present inside their rooms in Haveli.

The suspects Ghulam Sabir Awan and Mubashir Tufail suddenly arrived at the spot, hurled threats and opened fire at the victims, she stated in her complaint.

They suffered bullet injuries and the attackers also resorted to firing into the courtyard. Few bullets hit their car.

She stated that two other members of the family, Muhammad Azeem and Kaleem Ali, who were also present there, had saved their lives by hiding.

The suspects fled in a silver car after firing indiscriminately.
