KARACHI:

The PML-N convoy, led by the head of the reception committee of Sindh Bashir Memon, departed from Karachi city station for Lahore on Friday to welcome the party leader Nawaz Sharif. There was enthusiasm among the workers before the convoy left, and they danced to the drumbeat.

Kheal Das Kohistani, Ali Akbar Gujjar, Muhammad Zubair, the previous governor of Sindh, Bashir Memon, and others headed the Muslim League caravans.

Many workers could not board the train due to the space constraints; as a result, they protested.

Speaking to the media on this particular occasion, Bashir Memon stated, "Nawaz Sharif is much loved by the people of Sindh." The public gathering between Mian Nawaz Sharif and the people of Lahore will write a new chapter in Pakistani politics.

PML-N leader Muhammad Zubair said, "The people of Sindh are aware that Nawaz Sharif is the only leader who can solve all the issues."

Meanwhile, a special train comprising 19 coaches with 'thousands' of male and female PML-N workers on board left Hyderabad for Lahore to extend a warm welcome to their leader, Nawaz Sharif.

The President PML-N Sindh, Shah Muhammad Shah, made it clear that the party has not entered into any deal with anyone but with the people. PML-N remains committed to contesting general elections based on its own manifesto. The decision regarding election alliances, if any, rests solely with Nawaz Sharif, he said.

Prior to the departure, the workers enthusiastically chanted slogans in favour of Nawaz Sharif, sang party songs, created rhythmic drumbeats.

The train was decorated with vibrant panaflex, banners, and party flags bearing the images of Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, and Shahbaz Sharif.
