The BNP has announced its intention to organize a long march to Quetta in protest against the policies of the caretaker provincial government, which, according to the party, supports death squads in the province.
BNP workers from various regions, including Khuzdar, Surab, Panjgur, Turbat, Nushki, Kharan, Naseerabad, Jaffarabad, and Quetta, will participate in the march.
The long march will commence from Wadh and culminate in the provincial capital on October 22. A public rally is scheduled to take place at Quetta's Hockey Stadium at 4:00 pm on that day.
This announcement was made by key BNP leaders during a press conference held at the Quetta Press Club on Tuesday. The leaders who addressed the conference included Malik Naseer Shahwani, Akhtar Hussain Langove, Shakeela Naveed Dehvar, Musa Baloch, Rauf Mengal, Sajid Tareen, and others.

The leaders highlighted the deteriorating situation in Wadh over the past few months, expressing their disappointment with the provincial government's failure to provide protection to the people, leading them to resort to street protests.
They alleged a deliberate attempt to create tensions in Wadh and claimed that such actions are being taken because the BNP has consistently represented Balochistan in the provincial and federal legislatures.
The leaders also criticized the one-sided decisions made by the provincial apex committee during its recent meeting. They contended that the state appears to be primarily focused on protecting "one person," but the BNP is committed to supporting the people of Balochistan and advocating for their rights on every available platform.
The leaders further claimed that the BNP has suffered significant losses, including the targeted killings of 100 of its workers, among them former BNP central secretary-general Habib Jalib.

On Monday, BNP chief Sardar Akhtar Mengal referred to the provincial caretaker government as an "undertaker" after they filed cases against him and his party leaders for organizing "peaceful protests" against alleged "death squads" in the province.
Mengal expressed his discontent, likening the caretaker government to martial law and highlighting the FIR filed against BNP members who peacefully protested against these alleged death squads.
The FIR named BNP Central Executive Committee member Ghulam Nabi Marri, former MPAs Shakeela Naveed Dawar, and Shumaila Ismail for delivering provocative speeches against the caretaker government and accusing it of supporting death squads.
