Sherbagh zoo set for major upgrades
The authorities concerned have given the green light for extensive upgrading of the Sherbagh, as announced in a meeting chaired by the Punjab Governor Muhammad Balighur Rehman.

A water treatment plant is in the plans to ensure clean water for the animals, and efforts will be made to revive the fish aquarium, which has been closed for a long period. To enhance the zoo's attractiveness, the meeting suggested the allocation of an additional budget of Rs150 million. The matter will be presented to the chief minister for consideration.
The participants also decided to auction surplus animals at market rates, replacing them with new additions.
